Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Hospice Consultant?

A hospice consultant is a team of professionals with expertise in Hospice Management and systems operations. The consultant is responsible for providing compliant counseling and coaching to set up processes that meet regulatory standards. A consultant does not perform the work but gives counsel and education for the hospice team to create an effective strategy for success.

The Quality in Hospice Consultant will guide your agency at every level of hospice operations. The experts can direct you and your partners from the licensure to the initial survey and accreditation. As per your timeline, we can:

  • Complete and file your state licensure application.

  • Apply for Participation in the CMS program for hospice care by completing the 855A application.

  • Complete and submit your CLIA application.

  • Conduct a Mock Survey based upon the accreditation standards for ACHC, CHAP, and or Joint Commission

and more.

We just had a survey. Can a consultant help to create our Plan of Correction?

Yes! Our consultants specialize in regulatory standards and can create Plans of Correction for the three major accrediting agencies: ACHC, CHAP, and Joint Commission.

Can you perform a Mock Survey?

Yes! If you are awaiting a survey and want to know areas of vulnerability, we can help. If you are new to a hospice agency and want to know the compliance status, we can help. We conduct Mock Surveys based on State and accrediting agency standards and provide your agencies with detailed improvement reports. You will have a strategy for improvement based on best practices.
